This Meet the Funder event is with Claire Bowry, Chief Executive, at The Eveson Charitable Trust.

This event is suitable for charities supporting the residents of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands (comprising Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull and Walsall and Wolverhampton).

Through attending this session, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Trust, who support charitable organisations that help people with disabilities, mental health problems, children in need, older people, homeless people, hospitals, hospices and medical research.

Get Grants will be joined by The Henry Smith Charity to explore their Improving Lives Grant with participants.

There has never been a greater need for fundraisers to get-together and share knowledge and experience. This Meet the Funder event is with Babs Evans, Head of Grants at The Henry Smith Charity.

Through attending this session, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the charities Improving Lives Grant Programme, which is their largest grant programme.

The aim of the Improving Lives Grant Programme is to provide grants to charitable organisations that help people when other sources of support have failed, are inappropriate, or are simply not available.

The charity supports established organisations delivering services directly to beneficiaries. They look for services which can demonstrate a track record of success, and evidence the effectiveness of the work.

By attending this Meet the Funder event we aim to give you the opportunity to:
 - Ask questions about the Improving Lives Grant Programme, including the application process.
- Hear about who the Improving Lives Grant Programme is focused on supporting.
- Better understand what is currently being funded by the Improving Lives Grant Programme and whether your project fits within this.
- Gain an insight into the decision-making processes led by the funder.
- Receive advice direct from The Henry Smith Charity This Meet the Funder event is suitable for fundraisers based and working in the UK, for Community-led charities and not for profit organisations.

As we adapt to living with COVID-19, and with many people continuing to work from home or in isolation, there has never been a greater need for fundraisers to get-together and share knowledge and experience.

Over the last 18 months, Get Grants have delivered monthly Virtual Fundraisers Networking Event - supporting the sector whilst it responds to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These friendly sessions involve a Get Grants Expert providing an update on the current grant fundraising landscape, before facilitating discussions about how the grant fundraising world continues to change, and what opportunities and challenges this presents to you as fundraisers.

Through attending this event we aim to give you the opportunity to:
  • Join the Get Grants community and connect with like-minded people.
  • Share fundraising frustrations and successes.
  • Learn from the real-world experiences of fundraisers at all levels of experience.
  • Get new fundraising ideas and inspiration.
